I've studied at some of the most prestigious schools in New York City "The Neighborhood Playhouse, New Actor Workshop, Terry Schreiber Studios, Weist-Barron" and with some of the most respected teachers in the business.

I also grew up on a farm in the country south of Grand Rapids, MI; we had five acres and a big huge barn. We had horses, chickens, turkeys, pigs, goats, cows, cats, dogs, and a lot of fresh air. It was rural and even though I loved that lifestyle growing up, I'm definitely a big city person now after living in both NYC & LA for the past 18 years. I started in the restaurant business when I was a freshman in high school. I started as the dishwasher, but soon found out that waiters and bartenders make more money, so I honed my skills for the front of house.

At 20, after a short stint in college where he played football and baseball; I also played 5 years of semi pro football. At 19 I took a job with Hostess Cakes for several years. I was making great money and had all the Twinkies I could eat. I serviced two different routes and then became the route supervisor, then later Branch Manager and was given 800 accounts. At the same time I started acting and modeling, working in Grand Rapids, Chicago and Detroit and moonlighting as a bartender. I did a lot of print ads and commercials for some very large companies, Steelcase, Amway, Herman Miller, Meijers, Gilmores Dept. stores, Rogers Dept. stores, and Dayton Hudsons, start taking acting classes at the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and appearing in several plays. I went to a modeling and acting convention where I met an agent from New York City and he said, 'hey, if you come to New York City, we'll represent you. So in 1989 I made my way to the Big Apple to pursue a career in acting. Or I should say, to really learn the restaurant business.

Following that wonderful career as an actor, I had to manage restaurants at night. I managed "The Coffee Shop" a very trendy café in NYC, other places I managed were B Smith’s, America, Metropolitan Café. In 1997 I was the managing partner of a cigar bar called “The Grotto”, it became a very special place for the entertainment people of NYC. Here in LA I managed The Foundation Room at the House of Blues, Pig n’ Whistle Hollywood. I now am one of the manager at Stone Rose Lounge in Beverly Hills, it's one of the LA hot spots, we have a great crowd! Maybe you should come in sometime?

In NYC I was on a soap opera for a few years, appeared in some commercials, was in a Madonna video, and had some films roles and a lot of print ads. I have a lot of drive and a lot of energy. I'm quiet yet fun, very focused and a person who's also into bettering himself. I listen to a lot of self help, meditation and affirmation tapes. I'm into growth- personally and professionally, I read a lot. I also love reading the Terry Goodkind “Sword of Truth Series”.

I’ve been in the restaurant business all my life and really enjoy working in the business, from the back of the house to the front of the house. The best thing I like about the restaurant business is the people. I find that even though they as guests may have a problem from time to time or their service was not up to par. The thing I like is fixing their problem and having a guest for life.

When I’m not working in the restaurant business, I’m playing with the computer, my second love, or I should say, I’m learning how to market my diet lollipops (www.TheLolliPopKing.com) online and my other product Goji Juice (www.ILovegojiJuice.com).

I love sports, and I’m also a very big U of Michigan football fan. I helped set-up the game watches on Saturday morning on both coast. Here in LA we can have up to 1000 people show up to watch their favorite team the Michigan Wolverines. Hail to the Victors!
